Advanced Semiconductor Engineering (ASE) is an independent provider of semiconductor packaging and testing services. In addition, the Company provides integrated solutions for electronics manufacturing services. The Company's package types employ either leadframes or substrates as interconnect materials. The Company's testing services include front-end engineering testing, wafer probe, final testing and other related semiconductor testing services. The Company also offers turnkey services, which consists of the integrated packaging, testing and direct shipment of semiconductors to end users designated by the Company's customers and solution-based proactive original design manufacturing, or ODM, with the Company's customers.
