Gazprom is a gas producing compay which is based in Russia. Co.'s core activities are gas exploration, production, transportation, processing and marketing. Gas produced by the Co. is delivered to 68 regions of the Russian Federation and is also exported to 27 countries, including Germany, France, Italy, Turkey, Hungary, Greece, Switzerland and Great Britian. Co. controls almost 60% of the Russian gas reserves and produces about 85% of Russian gas. Co. is also engaged in the leasing of assets, gas transporation and storage services and the sale of gas condensate and refined products. Co. employs approximately 400,000 people including its subsidiary companies.
